Now there’s an easy way to add mass detection information to your separations. Gain this insight within your workflow, without the cost and complexity of traditional mass spectrometry.
Add the power of the Waters ACQUITY QDa
Detector to your Alliance HPLC, ACQUITY UPLC, ACQUITY UPC2 , Purification or existing Empower-controlled systems and gain a new depth of information for your everyday analyses.
Gain Certainty And Confidence: Confirm compound identities with certainty, immediately identify
co-elutions, and shorten development times.
Increase Efficiency: This complementary technique to optical detection can be added within your current workflow.
Empower Your Scientists: With minimal training, you can expand what your scientists can accomplish.
Expansion Made Affordable: This is the industry’s most accessible, affordable, and useable mass detector.
Fits Right In: Fully integrates with your current Waters equipment and workflow – it’s plug and perform!
With optical detection alone, it can often be difficult to detect compounds that have little or no UV absorbance. With mass detection you can confirm the identity of peaks in your sample analyses.
In the case of samples with unknown or unexpected components, mass detection provides information that contributes to identification of those peaks for both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Ensure the most complete separation for your quantitative chromatographic methods while minimizing the number of standards needed and the time required to complete a method development project.
Now, you can easily track changing retention times of your components without the need for individual standards.
Enhance your confidence in compound detection and identification.
The data to the right shows the chiral resolution of propiconazole stereoisomers and unknown chiral components in the formulation. Spectral information from the QDa allowed the minor components (peaks 5-8) to be characterized as probable stereoisomers.
Easily integrate mass-directed purification into your HPLC or SFC preparative system to selectively collect the compound of interest from a complex mixture. This reduces the need to assay many individual fractions from a complex sample for a more efficient workflow, maximizing throughput. Mass detection information may also be combined with UV detection in ways that may lead to higher yields of the desired product at higher purity.
With optical detection alone, it can often be difficult to recognize non-homogeneous or co-eluting peaks when they occur.
The ACQUITY QDa Detector’s orthogonal detection techniques provide complementary information for identifying peaks and for recognizing co-elutions. The streamlined workflow of Empower 3 software uses the Mass Analysis Window for reviewing mass and UV spectra together.
